| *Sighs* It's one of those days when you wish you could be somebody else, or something else. When you think about how certain aspects of your life will be a lot easier if you're just a bit different from how you are. When your hopeful dream has finally received a reality check. What was I thinking? Now I don't know what to do anymore... I don't know what should be said... or whether I should say anything at all... should I act in pretence everytime we meet... should I speak my mind... should I stay around - when I know very well how fine the line between pleasure and pain can be... or should I stay away - escaping this mess I'm in and deny my true feelings. Oh....'Round and 'round and 'round we go. Will you ever know? | | |
| *Sighs loudly* Finally, I finished that annoying assignment with the record time of being 6 days late! Oh well...I'm sure everyone has their bludging moments...but why does it seem to happen to me so often... Hmmm....maybe I'm actually a lazy bum like what most people seem to suspect. Anywayz, some updates of what I've been up to... Sat: another nosebleed in the morning yay! go me! And with my stubborness, I just kept my mouth shut and went on a trip as planned anyway. The trip I'm talking about was our lovely trip to Canberra to see the flower festival called 'Floraide' (Don't ask me why it's called so, maybe it's flower + parade *shrugs*). The weather was warm and sunny and the flowers were just amazing. I'll upload some photos if I have time. Then...we headed to Sunnataram monastery in Bundanoon. The monks were as welcoming as always. It was kinda dark by the time we got there so we didn't get to do much...got to play with a wombat though...he was so cute, apart from the fact that he was trying to bite my finger off haha. So we stayed for dinner at the monastery then headed home afterwards. All in all, a very fulfilling day - both sensually and spiritually. Sun: Woke up late. I guess I was still tired from the Canberra trip. Missed the sports session with the lovely people from UNIBUDS (University of New South Wales Buddhist Society). Tried to do that assignment but to no avail. Anywayz, I then went to swim afterwards. Actually, no, I mean I went to try to do some swim. I was too lazy by the time I got to the pool and ended up swimming only 2 laps (I can almost here my conscience says 'you lazy bum' right now. ) So...I was just using the steam room most of the time I was there. After the pool had closed, 2 lovely friends from the pool (Daniel and Thanda - aka Pinky and Cookie) and I went to dinner at a Thai restaurant called In-Chan together. It was kinda spontanoeus actually, but it was nice to get to know these guys better and actually spent time with them outside the steam room! Then....nothing else happened afterwards, just walked home feeling stuffed from eating too much sticky rice and mango haha. Mon: A very uneventful day. Nothing really happened apart from me panicking trying to get the assignment done, which I did! Go me! Enough said. I'm off to make some sushi with some friends at their lovely SRS' apartment (stands for Shi Ying, Rosie, and Susan). Hmmmm....food *drools* Bye y'all! | | |
| Hi all,
Well...this is my first ever entry as you can all see. Rosie has been pushing me to write this! I don't wanna sound like a whinger but anyway, I feel like sharing how my health has been for the past 7 days:
Tue: Stressed from trying to finish an assignment Wed: Had food poisoning - got home and had a sleep Thu: Went to work feeling exhausted and took the arvo off Thu night: Had a nosebleed Fri morn: Had a chest pain and felt nauseous
Hmmmm....may be this is not the right time for me to be writing this stuff. Did I also mention that I still haven't finished the assignment that was due on Tuesday? :(
Why am I sharing all this? So that you readers can feel good and appreciate your life more! It's so easy when your life runs smoothy to be feeling bored and uneventful. But once you get sick, well, that's when you'll start to appreciate yourslelf and your life. Same as when you're broke and you feel blessed to have some food to eat.
Point is..I think life is about being appreciative of every moment - by feeling that way, you can never really feel down... I'm even appreciative of the fact that I'm sick right now! (well...I also do hope that it won't happen too often!). Enough rambling for a day, me thinks. Hmmm.......better go and do something useful like eating or sleeping or both :P
Cheers, Aun
Ps. Congratulations to Jo on your gradudation today. Go team nerd!
